The sliders arrive on a world where clones are harvested for spare body parts. Quinn's double is blinded in a lab accident and when Quinn tries to help, he is mistaken for a clone. Meanwhile, the others inadvertently rescue the clone, which Colin tries to teach the importance of family and sacrifice. A clone named R.J. captures Quinn and his father, Michael Mallory, who is one of the cloning doctors. When they perform a switch for Colin, Maggie, Rembrandt and Quinn's clone who they name Mallory, a gun fight breaks out after Mallory willingly offers his eyes for Quinn's double to use. R.J. is killed and Mallory is shot in the shoulder protecting his father before Michael stops the gun battle. Seeing how the clones are sentient for himself and have feelings, Michael quits his job as a cloner and opens a free clinic for people who can't afford health care. He also plans on exposing the truth about cloning to the public and making a difference. Michael accepts his son's choice not to use clone parts on him, having made the clone in the first place against his wishes. Instead, Mallory becomes Quinn's double's guide in the world, acting as his eyes. Before leaving, Quinn offers his double some advice on his experiment, having witnessed and recognized the mistake he made that led to his blindness.
